I am 60 and take care of my grandsons, so I have little money to use towards dental care. I need a root canal and crown badly on a tooth that shows when I smile. It looks black because I broke part of it off. Do not tell me to get dental insurance as they do not work for 1 yr. Is there a place someone like me can go to get cheaper dental work?

I’m needing to get some dental work done and live in Aus, but I’m travelling back to my hometown in Michigan in a couple of months. I’m just trying to work out if it would be cheaper to do it there.

Has anyone had a root canal therapy and crown done recently, or could anyone direct me to a place where I could find a general idea of prices? I know I’d have to speak to the dentist once I get there to know for sure, but it would help to have a general idea. (If it’s generally about the same cost, then I’ll just enjoy my holiday and get it done once I get home!)

Depending on what is found in the tooth, I could be looking at a root canal and crown or an extraction and implant.

Say I get a new dental care package. What does it typically cover? Could I get a policy and immediately use it for fillings. What is the cheapest dental coverage out there that covers fillings and cleanings? Is it economical and feasible to pick up a policy, carry it while you need it and then drop it?

Please tell me about your dental coverage experiences. Right now I went to a dental school, but I wanted to research my other option to make sure I’m making the right choice

Saw it on “60 Minutes” that medical care in India is comparable to care here in the States, also it is much less expensve than overe here. Thinking of going over to get some dental work done and see India, but really not sure about doing Lasik surgery. Anybody that knows anything will be appreciated.
