It depends on the job that needs to be done. Obviously both need to have a working knowlege of the field of medicine. Med lab sci. will have many more techniques of lab analysis and procedures as applied to the latest equipment analysis.
Med tech will have the broader knowlege and will be the person to set up the experiment . Depending on the lab and their specialty either group may be the best for the job.
